New Housing, Hackney Wick, East London
The proposed building will transform a redundant brownfield site and provide 2 new dwellings, a 3 bed and a 1 bed.
Working with our clients Caswell & Dainow, the building form has been carefully and conscientiously considered in response to issues of distancing, mass, privacy and outlook relative to the specifics of the site.
The character and usability of the frontage to the building shall be accentuated through an attractive stair and entrance sequence, which allows both dwellings to have their own private entrance from the street rather than shared access, representing a contemporary abstraction of a familiar typical London typology, as well as offering a feeling of user ownership and relatability to the streetscape.
The project has been granted planning permission in April 2023.
